Minot's Ledge, Cohasset, MA

Yesterday my husband invited me to come along with him to one of his job sites in Cohasset, MA. At first I was skeptical about going because as I had previously mentioned, I have been sick for the past week and wasn't sure if I felt up to it. I am really happy my husband convinced me to go because it was a beautiful day and the fresh air made me feel refreshed and renewed after being cooped up in my house for so long. On the way to my hubby's job site we stopped at Minot's Ledge in Cohasset, MA. If you have never visited it, I suggest you do. It is so Beautiful. Infact, my husband  and I almost had our wedding  at "The Lighthouse Keepers Inn"(which is a small Inn that overlooks Minot's Ledge) because the view is spectacular and romantic, however the "Inn"was not big enough for the amount of guests we had. If you are having a very small wedding this would be the perfect place to have it. To learn some more interesting history about "Minot's Ledge"you can click on the link I have provided for you:http://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=474

LOVE

I seem to have developed a bit of a girl crush on Adele. I mean how amazing his she? Her voice is fantastic and her style is so original and refreshing. She brings back old Hollywood glamour for me. She is classy and doesn't succumb to who Hollywood would like her to be and her hair color is to die for. I just love her.  Her "Chasing Pavement" video is one of my favorite videos ever made!

The lil' Orchid that could..I think I can..I think I can.....

Every Valentines Day (for the past two years) my husband has made it a tradition to buy me an Orchid. I find them to be such an amazing flower/plant. Not only because they are beautiful at first glance but because they are strong and resilient. Now let me tell you a story: The first Orchid plant that my husband bought me (which is the white one below) I had for almost 6 months before I nearly killed it. I know, I know..I feel terrible but I was never educated on how to care for it. I had been watering it like a regular plant without the knowledge that you are supposed to give an orchid plant only two ice cubes a week and let the plant drink them slowly as they melt. As you can guess, I felt horrible and couldn't bring myself to to throw it away. So for months it sat in the same spot by the window, looking sad, lonely, shriveled and droopy. All that was left of it was one shriveled, brown, crunchy leaf hanging on by a thread. However, I continued to feed it two ice cubes for weeks in hope for a miraculous recovery.  One sunny morning, I arose from bed to find that my little white orchid had sprouted a few new white petals. As the days passed, a new petal would pop up here and there and in what seemed like no time at all my lil' Orchid had grown from a sad, weepy, naked plant into a strong, happy, beautiful flower basking in the sun. I was so happy and was even more delighted when my husband brought home a new gorgeous pink orchid to keep my white orchid company. They are so happy together..which makes me happy:)

You're my Blue Sky...You're my Sunny Day.......

For the last week I have been sick. For the first part of the week I was stuck in bed and just finally today mustered up the strength to move to the couch. Anyways, I've found myself feeling a lil' blue. I think it's a mix of the "End of Winter" blues and the fact that I am sick. Plus its SO dreary outside, what I wouldn't do for a little sunshine in my life..just a little;-) Anytime I feel blue, I like to look through my photos to remind me of times when I was happier to reassure myself that things WILL get better. Today I decided to look through my honeymoon pics, or as I like to call it our "mini-moon" since it was only a 3 day trip(we couldn't get work off but plan on going on a "real" honeymoon to Hawaii in the near future! YAY!) My Husband and I flew to Key Largo,Florida and then drove to Key West, Florida. The ride to Key West was absolutely gorgeous! Every time I look at these pics I can almost feel the warm sunshine on my face, the smell of coconut sun tan lotion,a cold tropical drink in my hand, a warm breeze blowing through my hair and the excitement and joy I felt knowing I had just married my best friend and the sweetest man in the whole world.  When I think of memories like those on this not so perfect day I can't help but to smile because when it comes down to it..I'm a lucky..lucky girl:

This was the our view during our whole drive to Key West.  B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!

An old bridgethat goes for miles and miles and then out of nowhere just stops. Amazing.

The road to Key West

These may be my favorite pictures that I have captured so far. This was  in Key West.  The picture really captures the laid-back attitude of the people who live there. Also, those dogs are adorable:)

These pictures were taken at the University of Miami. My husband went to school there for Architecture. We made a stop so he could take a trip down memory lane....

Such vibrant colors

This tree was breath-taking in real life..I can only hope my picture does it as much justice as it deserves.
